One Person Killed in Midtown Manhattan Tesla Accident

New York City Police Department Investigating Deadly Midtown Manhattan Pedestrian Accident on East 42nd Street

MIDTOWN MANHATTAN, NEW YORK (September 9, 2026) – One person has tragically died in a Midtown Manhattan car accident along East 42nd Street.

New York City Police Department officials are saying that the accident occurred around 3 AM on Wednesday morning. A Tesla was heading down the roadway when it was involved in a collision with scaffolding.

One passenger inside of the Tesla was seriously injured. Unfortunately, that woman later died due to the severe nature of her injuries.

A full investigation into the circumstances leading up to the crash is ongoing at this time.
