Dirt Bike Rider Died In Barre Hit-And-Run Collision Along McNamara Road

BARRE, NEW YORK (March 28, 2024) – A dirt bike rider has tragically died in a Barre hit-and-run car accident with a pickup truck along the shoulder of McNamar Road.

Barre police officials are saying that the collision took place around 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. A dirt bike rider was heading down the road when they were hit by a Chevrolet Silverado heading east.

Paramedics were called to the scene of the collision in order to help the victim. Despite life-saving measures, the dirt bike rider later died due to the severity of their injuries.

Police later located and arrested the driver of the Chevrolet Silverado. A full investigation into the Barre hit-and-run collision remains ongoing at this time.
