Driver Pleaded Not Guilty to DWI Charges After Crash That Left One Person Seriously Injured in Nassau County

NASSAU COUNTY, NEW YORK (May 30, 2026) – One person was seriously injured in a Nassau County collision with a suspected intoxicated driver on Meadowbrook State Parkway.

Nassau County officials are saying that the collision took place around 3:00 a.m. on Sunday. A driver was allegedly speeding and intoxicated when they caused a crash that caused one person to be ejected.

Paramedics were called to the scene of the collision to help the victim. That person was transported to the hospital with serious injuries.

The driver involved in the crash has been charged with DWI and vehicular assault. A full investigation into the crash remains ongoing at this time.
