Suffolk County Officials Investigating Hampton Bays DUI Car Accident on Montauk Highway
HAMPTON BAYS, NEW YORK (March 18, 2024) – At least one person was injured in a Hampton Bays car accident involving a suspected intoxicated driver on Montauk Highway.
Hampton Bays police officials are saying that the collision took place around 8:24 p.m. on Wednesday. Two vehicles were involved in the collision, and the driver of a 2019 Dodge Ram fled the scene.
That driver was later apprehended and has since been charged with driving while intoxicated. A full investigation into the collision remains ongoing at this time.
