One Killed, Six Injured In Co-Op City, Bronx Car Accident on Bartow Avenue

Three Vehicles Involved In Fatal Co-Op City, Bronx Car Accident Near The Mall at Bay Plaza

THE BRONX, NEW YORK (July 12, 2025) – At least one person has died and six people were injured in a multi-vehicle collision in Co-op City, Bronx.

New York City officials are saying that the accident took place around 5:25 PM on Friday. A Toyota Avalon was traveling westbound on Bartow Avenue when it hit a Hyundai Sonata and an Acura.

The Toyota eventually came to rest after colliding with a light pole and an unoccupied car. Paramedics were called to the scene in order to help all of the victims.

Sadly, a female passenger in one of the vehicles died due to the nature of her injuries. An additional six people were also injured in the crash.

An 11-year-old boy was listed among the victims.
