New York City Police Department Investigating Brooklyn Car Accident Involving Elderly Pedestrian and Department of Transportation Truck

BROOKLYN, NEW YORK (June 25, 2024) – An 86-year-old man has tragically died after being hit by a Department of Transportation (DOT) truck in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn.

New York City officials are saying that the collision took place around 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. An elderly pedestrian was crossing the street when he was hit by a DOT truck.

Paramedics were called to the scene in order to help the victim. But he was pronounced dead at the scene. A full investigation into the Bay Ridge truck accident remains ongoing at this time.
