Man Killed, Girl Injured in Bronx Dirt Bike Accident

Investigation Underway After One Person Died in Bronx Dirt Bike Collision Near Metcalf Avenue and East 172nd Street

THE BRONX, NEW YORK (March 2, 2025) – A man has tragically died, and a 14-year-old girl was injured in a Bronx dirt bike collision near Metcalf Avenue at East 172nd Street.

New York City officials are saying that the accident took place around 6:45 PM on Monday. An 18-year-old man was driving the dirt bike when it was involved in a collision with a vehicle.

Paramedics were called to the scene in order to help the victims. The 18-year-old driver was taken to NYC Health Plus Hospitals/Jacobi in order to receive care.

Sadly, he was pronounced dead at the hospital. The 14-year-old girl and operator of the Honda Odyssey were also hospitalized in the crash.

A full investigation into the cause of the accident remains ongoing.
