MANHATTAN, NEW YORK (June 22, 2026) – A 51-year-old man has tragically died after falling during a concert that was taking place at Madison Square Garden in Manhattan.

New York City officials are saying that the accident took place around 9:51 PM on Saturday. A rock band identified as Goose was performing at Madison Square Garden when the victim fell from some type of elevated position.

Firefighters and paramedics were called to the scene of the incident to help. He was transported to a local hospital to receive treatment.

Sadly, he died due to the severity of his injuries. A full investigation into the cause of the accident remains ongoing at this time.

Liability for Manhattan Concert Accidents

Falls remain a major cause of preventable injury and death across the United States. Many of the victims are workers. According to the Centers for Disease Control, “In 2022 falls from elevation represented approximately 81% of all fatal and 20% of all nonfatal slips, trips, and falls for all industry workers. Many of these falls occurred in the construction industry, and significantly impact construction employers, workers, and their families.” Businesses should take a number of steps to prevent falls on their premises.

  • Businesses should install railings to prevent people from falling over edges.

  • Businesses should ensure that walkways are free of clutter that could cause someone to trip.

  • Businesses should routinely inspect and maintain their premises.

If some type of defect with a premise causes a person to fall and be injured, this could serve as evidence of negligence. When a property owner has actual or constructive notice of a dangerous condition on their property, they must take action. There are many different ways that a defect with a property could have contributed to a fall. This includes instances where an elevated platform lacked adequate railing.
