The Medical Malpractice Trial Lawyers Association is a part of The National Trial Lawyers, “a professional organization composed of the premier trial lawyers from across the country who exemplify superior qualifications as civil plaintiff or criminal defense trial lawyers.”
Selection for the Top 25 is by invitation only, and that invitation is extended to the top 25 medical malpractice lawyers from each state. Nomination to this list offers the attorneys access to resources and legal scholarships, and provides networking opportunities.
All nominees are carefully screened before they are invited to the join the Medical Malpractice Trial Lawyers Association – Top 25. Nominees must meet certain criteria in order to be selected. The National Trial Lawyers takes the following into consideration during its selection process:
Reputation among peers, the judiciary, and the public
Achievements, settlements, and verdicts as a trial lawyer
Board certification as a trial lawyer
Nominations from leading trial lawyers, current members and Executive Committee members
