Crossing Guard Injured In Queens Car Accident On Eliot Avenue

Mercedes Hit Crossing Guard While She Was Protecting Children By The Intersection of Eliot Avenue and 71st Street

QUEENS, NEW YORK (September 29, 2023) – A crossing guard was injured in a car accident in Queens by the intersection of Eliot Avenue and 71st Street.

New York City police officials are saying that the collision took place around 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. A crossing guard was escorting children from Our Lady of Hope Academy.

The driver of a Mercedes crashed into the crossing guard and knocked her to the ground. Paramedics were called to the scene in order to help the victim.

She was taken to the hospital in order to receive treatment.
