Child, Adult Injured in Lindenhurst Car Accident With Turning Van

Van Was Traveling Westbound on Spiegelhagen Street Before Hitting Two Pedestrians While Turning

LINDENHURST, NEW YORK (July 16, 2026) – An eight-year-old girl and a 20-year-old woman were injured in a Lindenhurst car accident along Spiegelhagen Street and Wellwood Avenue.

Long Island officials are saying that the incident occurred around 2:30 PM on Tuesday. A van was reportedly traveling westbound on Spiegelhagen Street when it initiated a turn.

The van turned into the path of the woman and child. Paramedics were called to the scene of the incident to help both of the victims.

The eight-year-old girl and the woman were transported to the hospital with serious injuries. It remains unclear if the driver involved will face any citations.
