Liability For Highland Car Accidents
Speeding remains one of the leading causes of car accidents in the United States. According to the NHTSA, “For more than two decades, speeding has been involved in approximately one-third of all motor vehicle fatalities. In 2020, speeding was a contributing factor in 29% of all traffic fatalities.” There are many other factors that could contribute to a car accident.
- Distracted driving
- Poor road conditions
- Driver intoxication
- Vehicle system malfunctions
Every driver must use precaution in order to avoid hitting other vehicles. If a driver fails to slow down and collides with another vehicle, this could form the basis of a negligence claim. The family of any person that died in a car accident may have legal recourse through a wrongful death claim. It is important that evidence is properly preserved after any accident.
