Homeowner Critically Injured In Washington Township Accident After Pickup Truck Became Airborne on Route 57
WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP, NEW JERSEY (February 11, 2022) – A woman was critically injured after an allegedly intoxicated driver sent his pickup truck airborne before crashing it into the victim’s home.
Washington Township police officials are saying that the collision took place around 3:30 a.m. on Sunday. A man in a pickup truck lost control of his vehicle and hit a mailbox before his vehicle became airborne and hit the side of a home on Route 57.
A homeowner was critically injured in the crash and had to be taken to the hospital. Police believe that excessive speed and alcohol played a factor.
A second male homeowner was also injured in the crash. The man driving the pickup truck apparently went to a bar before the crash, but he was not served any alcohol because the servers believe he was already intoxicated.
