A pedestrian was walking on Long Beach Road and crossing at a crosswalk by Weidner Avenue.She was subsequently struck by a Chevrolet Express van. Paramedics were called to the scene of the crash to help the woman.She was taken to a local area hospital in critical condition. The driver of the Chevrolet Express van has been charged with driving while intoxicated and assault.Liability for Oceanside Pedestrian AccidentsA large portion of pedestrian collisions are with drivers that are under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
