Ridgeway Plane Crash Under Investigation By FAA and NTSB
RIDGEWAY, NEW YORK (May 28, 2023) – Two people have tragically died in a Ridgeway plane crash in Orleans County behind a residence along Towline Road.
Orleans County officials are saying that the accident took place around 5:40 p.m. on Sunday. A small plane crashed into the ground and parts were found scattered in the area.
Authorities believe that the pilot was giving rides to a small airport in the Town of Gaines. Paramedics were called to the scene in order to help the victims.
Sadly, two people died due to the nature of their injuries. A full investigation by the FAA and NTSB remains ongoing at this time.
