Liability For Manhattan Truck Accidents
A truck driver could also be liable for an accident if they were illegally parked. Generally speaking, truck drivers will be at least comparatively negligent for an accident if someone hits them while they are illegally parked. If it is very difficult for a driver to see an illegally parked vehicle, that driver could be 100% responsible for the crash. Liability may also flow to a truck driver’s employer if they were working as an employee at the time of a collision. Victims of truck accidents tend to suffer very serious injuries including:
- Broken bones
- Head injuries
- Spinal cord injuries
Any person that is injured in a truck accident may have legal recourse through a bodily injury claim. Damages in a civil claim can help cover lost wages, medical bills and pain and suffering. Sadly, though, it is common for truck companies to deny any liability for an accident. A truck accident attorney can examine all of the unique facts of your case and let you know what your legal options are.
