Liability For Queens NYPD Car Accidents

A large number of car accidents are due to drunk drivers. According to one analysis from the NHTSA, “Every day, about 28 people in the United States die in drunk-driving crashes — that’s one person every 52 minutes. In 2019, these deaths reached the lowest percentage since 1982 when NHTSA started reporting alcohol data — but still 10,142 people lost their lives.” There are many other factors that could contribute to a car accident including:

  • Driver fatigue
  • Inclement weather
  • Poor road conditions
  • Distracted driving

Many victims of car accidents may not realize the full extent of their injuries for several weeks or months following a collision. Any person that is injured in a car accident may have legal recourse through a bodily injury claim. Damages in a civil claim can help cover lost wages, medical bills and pain and suffering. A personal injury attorney can examine all of the facts of your case and let you know what your legal options are.
