Police Officer Injured In Canarise, Brooklyn Hit-And-Run Collision By The Intersection of East 83rd Street and Farragut Road
BROOKLYN, NEW YORK (December 14, 2021) – A police officer was injured by a fleeing vehicle in a hit-and-run car accident by the intersection of East 83rd Street and Farragut Road.
New York City police officials are saying that the accident took place around 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. NYPD officers identified a Jeep with a stolen license plate and one officer approached the driver on foot.
The Jeep took off and dragged the officer some distance. Eventually the Jeep crashed and the driver and passenger fled. They are being sought by police.
