66-Year-Old Was Crossing Street Before Being Hit By SUV
STATEN ISLAND, NEW YORK (June 14, 2023) – A 66-year-old pedestrian has tragically died in a car accident near the intersection of Clove Road and Tioga Street.
New York City police officials are saying that the accident took place around 5:57 a.m. on Thursday. A pedestrian was crossing the street when they were hit by a vehicle.
Firefighters and paramedics were called to the scene in order to help the victim. EMS transported the victim to Richmond University Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.
The vehicle that hit the victim was described as a Ford Bronco. A full investigation into the collision remains ongoing at this time.
