Pedestrian Died In Elmira Heights Car Accident With Hit-And-Run Driver
ELMIRA HEIGHTS, NEW YORK (November 19, 2022) – A pedestrian has tragically died in an Elmira hit-and-run car accident while moving a deer out of the road.
Elmira police officials are saying that the accident took place on Friday. A pedestrian was moving a deer carcass out of the road when they were hit by a vehicle.
Firefighters and paramedics were called to the scene of the collision in order to help the victim. Despite life-saving measures, the pedestrian died as a result of their injuries.
The driver involved fled the scene but later turned themselves in. A full investigation into the Elmira Heights crash remains ongoing at this time.
