Man Died In Copiague Pedestrian Accident Along Great Neck Road By Oak Street
COPIAGUE, NEW YORK (April 12, 2023) – A male pedestrian tragically died in a Copiague car accident near the intersection of Great Neck Road and Oak Street.
Suffolk County police officials are saying that the accident took place around 8:00 p.m. on Sunday. A 61-year-old pedestrian was trying to cross the street when he was hit by a 2020 Toyota Corolla.
Firefighters and paramedics were called to the scene of the collision in order to help the victim. They were taken to the Good Samaritan Hospital in West Islip in order to receive treatment.
Despite life-saving measures, the pedestrian died due to the severe nature of their injuries. A full investigation into the crash remains ongoing at this time.
