Man Airlifted Following Riverhead Pedestrian Collision Along West Main Street By The Riverhead Supermarket
RIVERHEAD, NEW YORK (August 29, 2023) – A man was seriously injured in a Riverhead car accident while crossing West Main Street by the Riverhead Supermarket.
Riverhead police officials are saying that the accident took place around 8:30 p.m. on Sunday. A pedestrian was trying to cross the street when they were hit by a vehicle.
The force of the impact knocked the victim to the ground leaving them with major injuries. They were airlifted to Stony Brook University Hospital in order to receive treatment.
A full investigation into the crash remains ongoing at this time.
