QUEENS, NEW YORK (October 20, 2023) – A pedestrian has tragically died in an Astoria, Queens hit-and-run collision by Astoria Boulevard and Steinway Street.

New York City police officials are saying that the collision took place around 4:00 a.m. on Monday. A pedestrian was walking when they were hit by a car.

That driver fled the scene and is currently being sought by police. The pedestrian was taken to Elmhurst Hospital where they were later pronounced dead.

A full investigation into the Astoria collision remains ongoing at this time.
