On August 25th around 8 p.m. a reckless Brooklyn SUV driver ploughed into an innocent 6-year-old girl crossing the intersection of 12th Avenue and 67th Street in Dyker Heights, Brooklyn with her mom after visiting a local park. Police charged 30-year-old Qiuhua Zhu with manslaughter for speeding into oncoming traffic, blowing a red light and fatally slamming into the little girl.
The little girl’s mom was frantic and screaming as her daughter lied in blood next to a fire hydrant. She was rushed to a nearby hospital and was pronounced dead only moments after her arrival.
