One Person Died In Yonkers Car Accident Along Interstate 87
YONKERS, NEW YORK (April 11, 2023) – At least one person has tragically died in a Yonkers head-on car accident on Interstate 87 not far from Exit 1.
Yonkers police officials are saying that the accident took place around 4:41 a.m. on Sunday. An Acura was traveling southbound in northbound lanes of traffic when it collided head-on with a Honda.
Firefighters and paramedics were called to the scene of the collision in order to help the victims. One person died due to their injuries and two other people were taken to the hospital in order to receive treatment.
A full investigation remains ongoing at this time.
