Liability For Vernon Car Accidents
Speeding remains one of the most common causes of car accidents in the United States. According to the NHTSA, “For more than two decades, speeding has been involved in approximately one-third of all motor vehicle fatalities. In 2021, speeding was a contributing factor in 29% of all traffic fatalities.” There are a number of other factors that could contribute to car accidents.
- Distracted driving
- Intoxicated driving
- Inclement weather
- Poor road conditions
Drivers must exercise due care in order to avoid collisions. When a driver fails to exercise due care, this could form the basis of a negligence claim. The family of any person that died in a car accident may be able to seek some measure of justice through a wrongful death claim. It is important that evidence is properly preserved after any collision.
