Liability For Utica Car Accidents
Speeding is one of the most common causes of car accidents. According to the NHTSA, “Twenty-eight percent of fatal crashes, 13 percent of injury crashes, and 10 percent of property-damage-only crashes in 2020 were speeding-related.” There are many other factors that could contribute to a car accident.
- Poor road conditions
- Distracted driving
- Driver intoxication
- Dangerous left turns
All drivers have a legal obligation to exercise due care in order to avoid collisions. If a driver fails to slow down to avoid colliding with another vehicle, this could form the basis of a negligence claim. The family of any person that died in a car accident may be able to seek some measure of justice through a wrongful death claim.
