Driver Charged With DUI For Fatal Dutchess County Car Accident
DUTCHESS COUNTY, NEW YORK (November 28, 2023) – A 56-year-old man is facing charges of DUI after a fatal Dutchess County car accident on Route 9.
Dutchess County officials are saying that the incident took place around 9:45 p.m. on Saturday. A man was driving northbound on Route 9 before crossing into opposing lanes of traffic and hitting another vehicle.
Firefighters and paramedics were called to the scene in order to help the victim. Sadly, one person died as a result of the crash.
Police have arrested the driver on suspicion of DUI. A full investigation remains ongoing at this time.
