Liability For Arkwright Car Accidents
Speed remains one of the most common causes of car accidents in the United States. According to the NHTSA, “For more than two decades, speeding has been involved in approximately one-third of all motor vehicle fatalities. In 2020, speeding was a contributing factor in 29% of all traffic fatalities.” There are a number of other factors that could contribute to a car accident.
- Distracted driving
- Inclement weather
- Driver fatigue
- Poor road conditions
Many accidents are due to drivers that commit traffic infractions. Pursuant to New York Vehicle Code 1172, the driver of any vehicle approaching a yield sign shall stop and only proceed when it is safe to do so. The family of any person that is killed in a car accident may have legal recourse through a bodily injury claim. Damages in a civil claim can help cover many of the expenses that come with the sudden loss of a loved one.
