Several People Injured In Colonie Car Accident Involving Ambulance On Interstate 87 Near Exit 4
COLONIE, NEW YORK (January 25, 2022) – Multiple people were injured in a Colonie ambulance accident on the Interstate 87 Freeway not far from Exit 4.
Colonie police officials are saying that the collision took place around 3:20 p.m. on Monday. An ambulance was heading down the freeway when it crossed the median and hit a guardrail.
Firefighters and paramedics were called to the scene of the collision in order to help all of the victims. The driver, paramedic and patient were all injured in the crash.
Police suspect that the driver lost consciousness prior to the collision. A full investigation remains ongoing at this time.
