Liability In Bloomsbury Truck Accidents
Speed is one of the most common causes of car accidents in the United States. According to the NHTSA, “For more than two decades, speeding has been involved in approximately one-third of all motor vehicle fatalities. In 2020, speeding was a contributing factor in 29% of all traffic fatalities.” There is a rebuttable presumption of negligence on the part of any driver that rear-ends another vehicle. Victims of truck accidents tend to suffer very serious and costly injuries including:
- Broken bones
- Head injuries
- Lacerations
- Spinal cord injuries
Any person that is injured due to the negligence of a truck driver may have legal recourse through a bodily injury claim. Damages in a civil claim can help cover lost wages, medical bills and pain and suffering. Unfortunately, truck companies will often fight extremely hard to deny liability for any collision. A truck accident attorney can examine all of the facts of your case and let you know what your legal options are.
