Liability For Wilton Tree Fall Accidents
Falls from trees may seem like freak occurrences, but they are much more common than many people realize. According to the Centers for Disease Control, “During 1992–2007, a total of 1,285 workers died while performing tree care and maintenance; 44% were trimming or pruning a tree when fatally injured.” There are a number of steps that should be taken to prevent tree fall accidents.
- Workers should be properly trained.
- Workers should be given fall protection gear.
- The equipment workers use should be maintained.
The family of any person that died on the job may have legal recourse through a civil claim. Damages in a civil claim can help cover many of the expenses that come with the sudden loss of a loved one. It is extremely important that all evidence is properly preserved after any accident. A wrongful death attorney can examine all of the facts of your case and let you know what your legal options are.
