The disease can be treated.But there’s also a roughly 10% fatality rate. Last year, seven people reportedly died after contracting the illness. Anyone that is experiencing pneumonia-like symptoms has been urged to seek medical attention.The NYC Department of Health has required that numerous schools, nursing homes, and other commercial institutions clean their cooling towers.Liability for Upper East Side Legionnaires’ Disease Outbreaks\u00a0Legionnaires’ disease is a severe form of pneumonia.
