Ms. Fiero retained GLK, who then commenced an action against the City of New York, the Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA), and the New York City Transit Authority (NYCTA), as well as the adjoining corporate landowner Son Claire Realty LLC.All defendants filed motions claiming Ms. Fiero\u2019s case against them should be dismissed. The trial court dismissed the case against the City of New York and kept the MTA, NYCTA, and Son Claire Realty LLC in the action.The NYCTA attempted to overturn the trial court\u2019s decision by appealing the decision to the Appellate Division, Second Department.
