Bicyclist Injured In Suffolk County Car Accident Along Gristmill Lane

SUFFOLK COUNTY, NEW YORK (May 9, 2023) – A 50-year-old bicyclist was critically injured in a Suffolk County car accident with a pickup truck on Gristmill Lane.

Suffolk County officials are saying that the accident took place around 3:10 p.m. on Saturday. A bicyclist was traveling down the road when they were hit by a pickup truck traveling north on New York Avenue.

Paramedics were called to the scene of the collision in order to help the victim. The 50-year-old bicyclist was taken to Huntington Hospital in critical condition.

The pickup truck involved in the collision has been impounded for a safety check. A full investigation into the collision remains ongoing at this time.
