Driver Charged Following East New York MTA Bus Accident By Essex Street near New Lots Avenue
BROOKLYN, NEW YORK (July 1, 2023) – At least 14 people were injured in an East New York MTA bus accident near the intersection of Essex Street near New Lots Avenue.
New York City police officials are saying that the accident took place around 8:30 p.m. on Sunday. A Toyota Sienna and a Ford Escape SUV were involved in a collision with an MTA bus.
Firefighters and paramedics were called to the scene of the collision in order to help the victim. A total of 14 people required hospitalization.
One person was listed in critical condition. A full investigation into the collision remains ongoing at this time.
